I got my Studio 17 four days ago and noticed that the brick portion of the included 90W adapter runs quite hot about 40-45 C after being powered on for no more than 15-20 minutes.
A relatively warm power adapter is normal especially when the laptop is in use while the battery is charging. The charger only gets warm or slightly hot when playing 3D games with low resource requirements - in my case usually Left 4 Dead 2 with plays at max settings no problem. Before you say its been heated up by the laptop the cable has been sitting plugged into the wall but not plugged into the laptop for an hour and its. While the laptop is runningand ideally while its running a taxing appcheck to see if the outflow vents are blowing hot air and the intake vents are letting air in.
